SEND pupils and accessibility
We recognise that not every pupil learns in the same way and that’s why at Young Musical Minds we do our best to provide support to make lessons accessible for SEND pupils. We do this by working closely with SEND pupils and getting to know them and their needs so that we adapt lessons in a way that works for them.
Ways we can support Send pupils:
Visual and aural teaching - Learning by ear and demonstration/copying. We understand that traditional music teaching methods are not always suitable for every child.
Accessible instruments - Colour coded guitars and pianos.
Working with schools - Taking on board and listening to school guidance.
Our teachers have taught hundreds of children across schools and are experienced and fully DBS checked professional musicians.
Parent communication and admin is handled by Young Musical Minds, taking pressure off schools.
